Use the site fairly; the content is ours. Real client work runs under a written statement of work — that document, not this page, governs the engagement. Fixed scope, quoted up front, liability capped at fees paid. Nothing here removes rights you hold under law.
1. Using this site
The portfolio and its artifacts are provided as-is, for evaluation. The proof captures, scorecards, and briefs describe real systems and real runs, and every number states how it was measured. Please don't misuse the site — no attempts to break, overload, scrape at scale, or probe it for vulnerabilities outside a responsible-disclosure email to hello@sageideas.dev.
2. Intellectual property
The site's design, copy, diagrams, and code are owned by Sage Ideas LLC unless noted otherwise (open-source repositories carry their own licenses — see each repo). You're welcome to reference or link to it; please don't reproduce it wholesale or pass it off as your own. Deliverables created for a client are handled under §4, not this section.
3. Engagements
Client work runs under a written statement of work (SOW): fixed scope, a quoted price agreed in advance, a deposit before work starts, and anything outside the written scope quoted separately. The SOW — not this page — governs each engagement, and where the two differ, the SOW controls.
4. Deliverables & IP transfer
Work products created specifically for a client transfer to the client on final payment, as set out in the SOW. Pre-existing tools, libraries, and general know-how remain ours, licensed to you as embedded in the deliverables. Full terms live in the engagement's SOW and Master Services Agreement.
5. Payments
Fixed-scope packages are listed on the Services page; larger or custom work is scoped and quoted individually. Fees, schedule, and any deposit are set out in the written quote or SOW you approve before work begins, and are invoiced directly. Deposits are non-refundable once work has started; if scoping shows I can't help, you'll hear it from me first and owe nothing further.
6. Warranties & disclaimer
Services are performed in a professional, workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. Beyond that, the site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Engagement-specific warranties, if any, are stated in the SOW.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability on any engagement is capped at the fees actually paid for that engagement, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits rights you hold under mandatory law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Sage Ideas LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The governing law and venue for a specific engagement are set out in its SOW / Master Services Agreement.
