The quality standard · what "done" means and what you can hold me to

The Quality Standard

Transparency is only worth something if it's specific. This is the standard every engagement is held to — what "done" means, what you receive, how fast I respond, and the guarantees you can point your team at. It's the same bar my own two live products are gated on.

Done = verified, not claimed A proof report, every time Fixed scope, no surprise hours
Definition of done

"Done" is a command you can re-run — not a status in a meeting.

A deliverable is done when three things are true: it passes its eval and test gate in CI, its proof report is generated, and the runbook is handed over. If a claim can't be shown with an artifact you can open, it isn't done — it's a promise, and promises aren't what you're paying for.

The artifact

What a proof report contains

Every build ships with a proof report — plain enough for a PM, backed enough for an engineer:

  • The eval scores — faithfulness, prompt-injection, regression, safety — and the thresholds each must clear
  • The test run: pass/fail counts, coverage, and the exact command to reproduce it yourself
  • The gate verdict — ship or blocked — and precisely why
  • Known limits, stated honestly, not buried
  • A signed, re-verifiable record — no number without a backing artifact
The SLA · response & cadence you can hold me to
Active build engagement
Same-business-day response. A working demo + written status every week. You always know what shipped and what's next.
≤ 1 business day
Operate retainer
Next-business-day response, a monthly proof report, and a critical production regression triaged the same day it's reported.
same-day critical
Audit & pre-engagement
Every inbound — a question, a mini-eval, a scoping note — gets a real reply, not an auto-responder.
≤ 1 business day

Times are business days, US Eastern. A critical production issue on a retainer is triaged the same day, regardless. Founder-led means the person answering is the person who built it — no ticket queue.

The floor · standards that never drop, on any engagement
No fake green

A gate goes red when it should — in public. You see the real verdict, never a dressed-up one. This site does it to itself on every deploy.

Floors ratchet up

Coverage and quality thresholds only move one way. Once a bar is met it becomes the new minimum — regressions can't quietly lower it.

Honest-skip discipline

A skipped check is counted and explained, never hidden to make a dashboard greener than the truth.

Gated, not demoed

Every AI feature ships behind an eval gate, not on a demo and a prayer. The gate is the product as much as the feature is.

Handoff & rollback

You can run it without me — that's the test of a real handoff.

  • Everything lands in your repo, your CI, your infrastructure — with a documented runbook
  • A rollback path for every change that touches production
  • Access revoked at handoff; nothing retained on my side
  • The eval gate keeps the system honest after I'm gone — the handoff isn't a document, it's a working safety net
Honest limits

What I guarantee — and what I don't

I guarantee the scope in writing, the proof report, the gate, the clean handoff, and responses within the SLA above. I don't guarantee a model will never be wrong, or that a metric hits a target before the work is done — anyone who promises perfect AI is selling you the demo again. What I guarantee instead is that you'll always know the truth, measured, before it reaches your customer.

This is the bar. Let's put your feature against it.
